About The Role
We are excited to recruit a MOT Motor Vehicle Technician for one of the UK’s fastest growing motor groups. As a technician you will be responsible for the MOT testing, service, repair and maintenance work for our customers’ vehicles, readying them for the road ahead. You will work on a diverse range of vehicles and models, taking full ownership of your customers and completing jobs to the highest standard.
We look for candidates willing to train within the Manufacturer Franchise with the ambition to progress to Senior and Master Technician status. You will receive extensive in‑house and manufacturer training, support and development to reach your full potential and contribute to our ambition to become the number one motor group.
Salary up to £45,000 OTE a year
Responsibilities
- Report to the Service Manager, meeting both franchise and company standards in a service environment.
- Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on all types of motor vehicles.
- Work to the highest level within scheduled times to meet company, franchise and manufacturers’ standards.
- Repair, test, diagnose and replace vehicle components, parts, lubricants and consumables, while maintaining records and providing quality write‑ups for customers and manufacturers.
- Keep your work area clean, tidy, organised and free from hazards in accordance with Health & Safety standards.
- Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements, including future servicing/repair needs through the Vehicle Health Check and Video process.
Qualifications
- Experience in an automotive technical role.
- Minimum Level 2 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and an MOT Testers Licence.
- Excellent communication skills, thriving in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and overcome technical challenges.
- Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification is advantageous but not essential (full training provided).
- Full UK driving licence.
