Salary: £27,000 per annum with potential to progress to £32,000
Company Bonus: £1,500 per annum based on performance. OTE earnings year 1: £28,500.

Location: You’ll teach in multiple schools across a regional area each week.
Fuel: Fuel contributions in addition to salary.

As a band leader you will:
- Teach groups of primary‑age children in a fun, inspiring rock and pop band format in up to 10 schools per week.
- Give children their first opportunity to learn an instrument – teaching drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.
- Work independently as part of a remote team of band leaders, with support from central teams.
- Be a role‑model, empowering and supporting children to deliver live performances at end‑of‑term concerts.
- Help children develop self‑belief, resilience and wellbeing through performing in a band.
- Represent Rocksteady, building strong relationships with schools, teachers and parents.
- Be prepared for highly active days and spend time driving between schools – load/unload equipment, set‑up and pack away.
As a band leader you’ll need:
- Competent on at least two of drums, guitar, bass, keyboard or vocals.
- Enthusiasm to learn how to teach band lessons and complete our training programme.
- Resilience to work in a demanding role with highs and lows in a single day.
- Confidence to be yourself at work, communicate well with children, teachers and parents.
- Integrity to promote the safety and well‑being of children and young people.
- Organised, independent worker with good time management and administration skills.
- UK/EU driving licence and own transport; use own car to transport equipment and drive between schools.
