Thera East has an exciting opportunity for a Male Support Worker based in Gazeley, Newmarket, Suffolk. You will join on a permanent basis with full-time, part-time, and relief hours available. Salary is £13.30 per hour.

Male Support Worker Role
As a valued Support Worker with Thera East, you will support adults with a learning disability, helping them achieve personal goals, develop skills, plan and manage home, leisure, employment, interests and travel. You may work in person’s home or community. The role is varied, rewarding but also challenging and demanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement person-centred plans to support individuals’ goals.
- Facilitate development of new skills, and provide personal and emotional support.
- Assist with daily living tasks, home management, leisure activities, employment support, and travel.
- Work independently in many settings including homes and community environments.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided.
Qualifications and Skills
- No previous experience or qualifications required.
- Free, Skills for Care endorsed full training will be provided.
- Compassionate, caring, confident and resilient.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑starter with a high level of motivation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; confident, articulate and professional.
