Role: Lecturer – Construction Maintenance Operations

Hours: 17.5 hoursSalary: £17,509.50 – £24,883.50 (pro‑rata) | £35,019 – £49,767 (FTE)Pension: 28.68%Location: Stockport Campus

About the Role

Primarily you will work with Level 1 and Level 2 students in full‑time Construction Skills and Maintenance Operations programmes, and potentially Level 2 apprentices pursuing the Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship Standard.

You will provide a solid foundation for young students to start careers in construction and guide them toward their chosen progression pathways.

  • Introduction to Health and Safety in Construction
  • Introduction to the Construction Industry
  • Introductory Carpentry and Joinery Techniques
  • Introductory Painting and Decorating Techniques
  • Introductory Plastering Techniques
  • Introductory Tiling Techniques
  • Introduction to Basic Plumbing Techniques

About You

  • Qualified construction tradesperson with significant industry experience.
  • Experience across multiple trades such as property maintenance or renovation work.
  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting; Level 5 teaching qualification (Certificate in Education) preferred, NQT status will be considered.
