Role: Lecturer – Construction Maintenance Operations
Hours: 17.5 hoursSalary: £17,509.50 – £24,883.50 (pro‑rata) | £35,019 – £49,767 (FTE)Pension: 28.68%Location: Stockport Campus
About the Role
Primarily you will work with Level 1 and Level 2 students in full‑time Construction Skills and Maintenance Operations programmes, and potentially Level 2 apprentices pursuing the Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship Standard.
You will provide a solid foundation for young students to start careers in construction and guide them toward their chosen progression pathways.

- Introduction to Health and Safety in Construction
- Introduction to the Construction Industry
- Introductory Carpentry and Joinery Techniques
- Introductory Painting and Decorating Techniques
- Introductory Plastering Techniques
- Introductory Tiling Techniques
- Introduction to Basic Plumbing Techniques
About You
- Qualified construction tradesperson with significant industry experience.
- Experience across multiple trades such as property maintenance or renovation work.
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting; Level 5 teaching qualification (Certificate in Education) preferred, NQT status will be considered.
