justteachers is currently seeking a flexible and reliable General Cover Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Peterborough. This full-time, long-term position is available for an immediate start and offers an excellent opportunity for an adaptable educator to cover a wide range of subjects and year groups in a supportive and dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide cover for absent teachers across different subjects and year groups (KS3 to KS4).
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans while ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive, focused learning environment.
- Adapt lessons as needed to suit the needs of students and keep them engaged.
- Provide feedback to subject teachers on student progress and any issues that arise during lessons.
- Assist in the smooth running of the school day and support students with their learning and development.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in a secondary school setting across a variety of subjects.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt quickly to different teaching environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Two professional references from educational or school-based settings.
