Forklift Operator – Cold Store, Perth

Job Overview

Responsible for carrying out the production process by following Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instruction Documents, and blueprints or drawings related to assembly, material handling, equipment operation, and finished goods packaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow and maintain safety, quality, appearance, and operating system standards in your operating area.
• Use SAP to check stock and complete customer orders within the pick and pack operation.
• Take responsibility for your own Health and Safety and the Health and Safety of others in the area.
• Pick and pack UK and export orders with minimal supervision.
• Pick and present raw material and packaging material for production departments.

Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment with varying temperatures; up to 60% of time in cold rooms down to 2°C.
• Lift items up to at least 7.5 kg from ankle to hip height and from head height to hip height.
• Walk and stand for up to 12 hours a day, with frequent squatting, stooping, kneeling, bending, and twisting at waist.
• Push or pull products on a picking cart weighing up to 125 kg.
• Push pallet trucks with weight up to 500 kg.
• Work outside when loading trucks.
• Perform repetitive work dictated by machinery.

Requirements

• Forklift and warehouse experience essential.
• Temporary to permanent assignment; Monday to Friday, 08:00‑16:30 (40 hours per week).
• Pay rate £13.20 per hour.
• Ability to work constant nights if needed.
