Miss Daisy’s Nursery Schools – Head Educator

Position available at Hyde Park recruiting now for immediate start.

Qualifications

  • Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education
  • Minimum 1 year of team leadership/management experience
  • Minimum 3 years of nursery experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance
  • Knowledge and proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities
  • Knowledge of and commitment to child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities and SEN/inclusion
  • Experience of working as a key worker for a group of children and their families
  • Ability to observe, assess and report on children’s behaviour

Duties

  • Provide safe, high‑quality education and care for children attending the nursery.
  • Fulfil legal and statutory requirements and supervise staff on a day‑to‑day basis.
  • Contribute to and implement nursery policies.
  • Lead the team effectively, managing staff and ensuring positive working relationships; also act as mentor.
  • Ensure provision of nursery meets standards, with children, parents, and staff working together.
  • Manage day‑to‑day financial operations, meeting financial targets and maximizing occupancy.
  • Set nursery goals and monitor progress against targets.
  • Monitor and assess the quality of provision, ensuring policies and procedures, best practice and standards are maintained.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
  • Collaborate with parents and other staff members to support children’s individual needs.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well‑being of all children.
