Description
Registered Home Manager – Esland – Peak View, Buxton (SK17). The role is responsible for leading a residential care service for young people, ensuring safety, stability, and therapeutic support in a two‑bed setting.
Department: Assessments | Location: Peak View – Buxton | Compensation: £48,000 – £55,000 per annum + £3,000 car allowance + potential bonus up to £8,500.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (additional/alternative hours may be requested to meet business needs). The service operates in the Derbyshire Dales countryside, providing immediate intervention and trauma‑informed, therapeutic support over a 12‑week placement for young people.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing security, support and stabilisation for young people in a nurturing environment.
- Implementing the PACE principles of residential care, ensuring access to education and outdoor/adventure activities.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in a position relevant to residential care for children within the last 5 years (essential).
- At least 12 months in a role requiring supervision and management of care staff (essential).
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, England (essential).
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, England (highly desirable).
- Previous experience in Ofsted inspections (essential).
- In‑depth knowledge of legislation, regulations and best practice for child care, and ability to implement this within your home (essential).
- Full UK driving licence issued in the UK (essential).
- Right to work in the UK with no restrictions (essential).
- Age over 21 to meet industry regulations (essential).
