We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 7 Senior Clinician to provide day‑to‑day clinical leadership within the Alcohol Care Outreach Team, alongside the Addiction Care Team at King’s College Hospital working as part of the Integrated Alcohol Care Pathway. This is a senior clinical role combining hands‑on work with people who have complex alcohol‑related needs, operational oversight of clinical activity, and line management of designated staff. The post-holder will also contribute to a defined programme of service development projects that span both hospital‑based and community alcohol care. The post offers an opportunity to take a leadership role within an innovative, integrated pathway that works assertively with people who experience repeated alcohol‑related harm, supporting improved engagement, continuity of care and safer outcomes across acute and community settings.
- Provide day‑to‑day senior clinical leadership within the Alcohol Care Outreach Team, ensuring safe, effective and high‑quality care.
- Hold a small caseload of individuals with complex alcohol‑related, mental health, physical health and social needs.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments, risk management and care planning, working collaboratively with service users and partner agencies.
- Provide clinical supervision, line management, appraisal and development support to designated staff.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex clinical and operational issues within the team.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement work across the integrated ACT and ACOT pathway.
- Work closely with hospital‑based teams, community services and third‑sector partners to support smooth transitions and joined‑up care.
- Support good governance, data quality, safeguarding practice and adherence to Trust policies and standards.
- Deputise for the Clinical Service Lead where appropriate and within agreed scope.
