Join Barclays as a Senior Project Manager to lead the high-stakes, cross-desk, and cross-region retirement of the Rushmore Risk platform as part of Barclays’ Strategic Risk Systems Simplification initiative. You’ll own the full end-to-end plan—prioritizing dependencies, uniting trading, data, and technology teams, and ensuring dashboards, data quality, and remediation efforts are perfectly synchronized—for a seamless, controlled platform cutover.

To be successful, you should have:

  • Front Office Delivery & Stakeholder Management – Proven experience delivering change within a front-office environment, working closely with traders, Strats, and technology teams in a fast-paced, demanding setting.
  • Hands-on Project Execution & Dependency Management: specifically across intraday risk projects and experience in rates products.
  • Structured Requirements Gathering & Delivery Tooling – Demonstrated ability to collect, structure, and prioritize requirements, and organize delivery using standard bank tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence, delivery dashboards) and Microsoft Suite (including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio), including using technical data and burnups to help inform and evidence timelines.

Other highly valued skills include:

  • Technical Project Management background
  • Experience in Risk Platform Migration or System Decommissioning
  • Experience delivering under strategic or regulatory deadlines
  • SQL
  • Python

  • Time Horizon: Works with a shorter, more defined timeframe as projects have a set beginning and end.

  • Stakeholder Management: Primarily manages stakeholders related to their specific project, ensuring communication and expectations are clear for the project’s deliverables.

  • Risk and Issue Management: Focuses on risks and issues specific to their project and works to mitigate them within the project’s scope.

  • Resource Management: Manages resources for their individual project, ensuring that the project team has the necessary skills, tools, and time to complete the work.

  • Financial Management: Focuses on managing the budget of their specific project, ensuring it is completed within the financial constraints.

  • Metrics: Measures success based on the timely completion of project deliverables within scope, time, and budget.

  • Change Management: Manages changes that directly impact their specific project, including scope changes, timelines, or resource allocation adjustments.
