Residential Support Worker – Children’s Homes

Location: Widnes – drivers only. Salary: £13.45 per hour plus £3000–£6000 per annum for sleep‑ins (£62.64 per sleep‑in). Shift patterns: full‑time long days plus extra sleep‑ins (≈4–6 per month). Full UK driving licence required.

You will be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Your role will involve encouraging, praising, and supporting the children while remaining calm during challenging situations. The work can be emotionally demanding, but it offers the chance to positively change a child’s life.

What you need

  • Caring, nurturing and emotionally resilient.
  • Great communication skills; positive and energetic.
  • Desire and passion to support children – experience is not essential as training is provided.
  • Ability to remain calm during challenging situations.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and sleep‑ins.
