Senior Security Architect

As a Senior Security Architect you will form part of the Enterprise Security Architecture team within the CISO function. Reporting directly into the director of enterprise security architecture, this role will be instrumental in our next phase of maturity and will support teams in delivering robust, scalable and resilient security architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architect for resilience: Design enterprise-level security architectures that scale with business growth and evolving threats.
• Enable secure innovation: Collaborate with product, engineering, and infrastructure teams to integrate security seamlessly into design and delivery.
• Lead with insight: Conduct threat modelling, risk assessments, and architecture reviews to strengthen enterprise defences.
• Drive alignment: Translate business goals into secure design standards, frameworks, and technology roadmaps.
• Build capability: Mentor architects and engineers to uplift security awareness, expertise, and accountability across the organization.

Required Skills and Experience

• Over 5+ years of practical experience in designing and implementing security architecture within large-scale, complex environments.
• Expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), network infrastructure, data center security design, data protection, AI security and zero-trust principles.
• Familiarity with security and architecture standards & frameworks such as NIST, SOC2, MITRE ATT&CK, SABSA, TOGAF, Zero Trust etc.
• Strong technical foundation in securing endpoints, network, application, Identity and infrastructure security.
• Good understanding of threat modelling & risk analysis
• Lead with passion and empathy by supporting individuals and the wider team
• Excellent communicator who can simplify complexity, influence decisions, and align technology strategy with business outcomes.
