About the Role
JHE & Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with a growing company in Bradford who have a superb reputation as they look to recruit a newly created role of Finance Director. Reporting to the MD, the successful applicant will immediately be a key part of the Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate must be capable of operating commercially within a fast-moving operational business, helping drive the next stage of growth.
Role Requirements
- Translate operational performance into financial insight
- Strengthen forecasting and reporting capability
- Improve commercial decision‑making
- Support investor readiness
- Challenge constructively at senior level
- Help reduce dependency on the MD for strategic financial interpretation
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance Leadership
- Cashflow forecasting and scenario modelling
- Financial strategy and planning
- Investor and board reporting
- Financial risk management
- Managing banking and funding relationships
Operational and Commercial Finance
- Labour productivity insights
- Improving operational efficiencies
- Analysis of client profitability, margins and WIP
Leadership
- Leading and developing the finance function
- Improving MI and reporting
- Improving controls and reporting standards
- Introducing scalable systems
This role suits a commercially minded SME Finance Director or strong Financial Controller ready to step up. Someone who is “hands‑on” and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment. Applicants must be strong communicators, enjoy collaborating with colleagues across the business and have a desire to be part of this exciting growth journey.
