Job Description
As a Business Development and Capture Manager at Northrop Grumman UK, you will play a pivotal role in growing the company’s presence across Multi Domain Integration and Command and Control (C2) within the defence and security sector. You will identify, shape and secure new business opportunities across the UK and international markets, building trusted relationships with government stakeholders and industry partners and translating complex operational needs into compelling, high‑value solutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify and convert new MDI and C2 business opportunities across UK and international defence and security markets.
- Own the full business development and capture lifecycle, from early customer engagement through to contract negotiation and award.
- Build and manage a robust, prioritised opportunity pipeline, with accurate forecasting and Salesforce reporting.
- Develop deep insight into customer missions, decision‑making processes, budget cycles and operational use cases.
- Lead and contribute to capture, proposal and bid activity, working closely with cross‑functional teams.
- Act as a visible ambassador for NGUK by attending conferences, exhibitions and customer events, positioning the organisation as a thought leader in C2 systems.
Qualifications
- Experience selling C2 products, services or solutions within government defence and security markets.
- Knowledge of maritime and military C2 systems, EW or CEMA, gained through sales or operational use.
- Proven ability to sell complex, technical solutions and develop profitable, sustainable deals.
- Experience managing UK and international sales opportunities, typically valued at £2m or above.
- A strong track record of leading cross‑functional teams to deliver winning bids.
- Exceptional relationship‑building skills with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
