What you will do
You will be supporting PGIM’s Global Wealth Group in driving sales of PGIM’s Fixed Income UCITS, Sub‑advisory and Alternatives platforms. The Portfolio Specialist will act as a central point of reference for PGIM Credit investment matters for PGIM’s sales force, clients and prospects. The role involves developing a deep understanding of the firm’s investment strategies and delivering a high‑quality service to clients and prospects, particularly as it relates to PGIM’s Fixed Income offering.
What you can expect
- Partner and collaborate with the distribution teams to service wholesale and institutional clients across the region, providing technical fixed‑income expertise. Deliver timely investment strategy updates and ensure each prospect has a comprehensive understanding of PGIM’s capabilities and solutions.
- Represent PGIM’s strategies at key conferences in support of the wholesale business.
- Travel as needed with the distribution teams to convey market perspectives, strategy updates and thought leadership.
- Interact regularly with senior investment professionals and attend internal investment meetings to ensure a deep and current understanding of PGIM’s investment strategies positioning and outlook.
- Partner with internal groups to ensure business development and client needs are met.
- Ensure clients and internal partners are fully informed, trained and supported on PGIM’s managed products and capabilities.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing and product teams to create and refine compelling product materials, presentations and thought leadership content.
- Provide guidance and training to members of Institutional Client Group and Global Wealth on Fixed Income strategies.
What you will bring
- Significant buy‑side asset management experience in similar roles.
- Extensive experience in fixed income and the demonstrable ability to grasp and communicate fixed‑income concepts succinctly.
- Strong presentation skills that help drive clients and prospects to action and strengthen relationships with PGIM.
- Understanding of investment processes and ability to effectively convey key differentiators to clients, prospects and sales teams via both verbal and written communications.
- Ability to effectively grasp important, value‑added aspects of each strategy that enable representation of PGIM capabilities to a sophisticated client and prospect base.
- Genuine team player with a collaborative style, able to build partnerships and relationships based on trust and credibility, and confidence to work with senior executives.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of industry trends.
- Highly responsive, flexible and oriented toward meeting and exceeding the needs of clients and prospects.
- Strong grasp of data analysis with the ability to interpret and convey results in a digestible manner.
What will set you apart
- Master’s degree in finance or equivalent.
- CFA certification.
- European languages (Italian and/or German) strongly desirable.
