Location: Working with one of our fantastic local clientsPay: £15.00 to £18.00 per hourStart times: Monday to Friday, 06:30 starts, finishing by 4pm dailyJob type: Ongoing work, with temp-to-perm opportunities availablePay type: Weekly PAYE, with holiday pay accruedDriver Hire is currently recruiting a reliable and professional Class 2 Trainee HIAB Driver to work with one of our fantastic local clients.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 driver who is looking to develop their skills and progress into HIAB work. The role will initially involve Class 2 deliveries, giving you the chance to familiarise yourself with the client’s routes, products, working procedures, and customer base. Once you have completed the initial Class 2 delivery work and are fully familiar with the role, you will then be trained to operate the HIAB trucks.Our client takes pride in organising great routes and looking after its team. This is not builders’ merchant work, with deliveries made to commercial sites.This is a great opportunity for a Class 2 driver looking for consistent weekday work, excellent pay, training and development, immediate starts, and the option of a permanent position for successful candidates.The RoleAs a Class 2 Trainee HIAB Driver, your duties may include:Driving Class 2 vehicles safely and professionallyCompleting Class 2 deliveries to customers and client sitesLearning the client’s routes, delivery process, and site proceduresAfter completing the initial Class 2 delivery work, being trained to operate HIAB trucks safely and professionallyCompleting daily vehicle checksEnsuring paperwork and delivery notes are completed accuratelyProviding excellent customer service while representing Driver Hire and our clientFollowing all road transport, driver hours and health and safety regulationsStart times are typically 06:30, Monday to Friday, with 30 minutes allocated for safety checks in the morning.What We Offer£15.00 to £18.00 per hourWeekly PAYE payHoliday pay accruedMonday to Friday workImmediate starts availableOngoing work with a fantastic clientTemp-to-perm opportunities available for successful candidatesTraining and upskilling opportunity into HIAB workSupport from a friendly and experienced Driver Hire team£200 bonus after completing 20 shifts with usRequirementsTo be considered, you must have:A valid Class 2 HGV licenceValid CPC and Digital Tachograph cardMinimum 1 year’s Class 2 driving experienceBe aged 25 or over due to insurance requirementsA reliable, professional and safety-focused approachGood communication and customer service skillsGood knowledge of driver hours and working time regulationsA willingness to learn and progress into HIAB workHIAB experience is desirable but not essential, as this role is designed for a Class 2 driver who is looking to be upskilled.About Driver HireDriver Hire is the UK’s largest specialist transport and logistics recruitment company.
