Position Summary
We are looking for an IT Consultant with experience delivering technology transformation programmes, particularly within the UK public sector (NHS, Government, MOD, MOJ, Local or Central Government). This role will involve hands‑on expertise in systems implementation, functional and technical design, testing, and data migration, with a focus on Oracle Cloud HCM modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Talent Management, Recruiting, as well as Oracle ME and other foundational technologies and frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and deliver large‑scale technology transformation programmes within the public sector.
- Lead functional and technical implementation of Oracle Cloud HCM modules (Core HR, Payroll, Talent Management, Recruiting) and related technologies.
- Manage data migrations, system testing, and quality assurance activities.
- Build and coach client technology teams, managing quality, risk, and expectations.
- Apply agile and hybrid methods to deliver strategic IT projects.
- Support junior consultants, contribute to project proposals and client relationships, and identify new business opportunities.
- Assist in the development of the Practice Area and contribute to BCG brand building.
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience delivering technology transformation programmes, especially in the UK public sector.
- Previous consulting experience focused on technology, digital initiatives, and large‑scale transformations.
- Hands‑on expertise in functional and technical implementation, testing, and data migration of Oracle HCM modules.
- Strong understanding of public sector delivery frameworks, particularly NHS or central government.
- Background in technology consulting and client delivery in Agile or hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud / Fusion HCM, Oracle DWH, Oracle ME, and adjacent technologies.
- Willingness to travel within the UK.
- A university degree with above‑average academic performance in Computer Science or an IT‑related discipline.
