Stores Assistant Windows Division
Portadown£28,000 per year + potential overtimeMonday Thursday: 8:00am 5:00pm | Friday: 8:00am 4:00pm
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading company based in Portadown for a permanent full-time Stores Assistant to join their busy Windows Division. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse or stores experience who enjoys working in a hands-on environment as part of a supportive team.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Receiving deliveries and checking goods for any damage or shortages
- Organising and storing stock within the warehouse
- Moving materials by hand and assisting with heavy lifting duties
- Picking and packing orders for installation teams
- Operating forklift equipment and other lifting gear
- Keeping stock records and paperwork up to date
- Maintaining clean and organised waste disposal areas
- Assisting with deliveries and occasional on-site support when required
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Following all health & safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working within a stores or warehouse environment
- Forklift experience is essential (company happy to renew licence if required)
- Comfortable carrying out heavy lifting duties
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
