One Way are working in partnership with one of the South of Englands most respected family-owned construction businesses to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for their Oxford office.

The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners.
Projects typically range from £1m to £30m and include a mixture of new build, refurbishment, restoration and design & build schemes across Oxfordshire and the wider South East.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing subcontractor procurement, accounts and final accounts
- Preparing valuations, applications for payment and variations
- Cost reporting, forecasting and budget control
- Supporting procurement and tender processes
- Managing project cash flow and financial performance
- Working closely with site and project management teams
- Assisting with value engineering and risk management
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Supporting successful commercial delivery from inception through to completion
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
- Strong understanding of commercial management within construction
- Good working knowledge of JCT contracts (NEC beneficial)
- Experience on new build and/or refurbishment projects
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- Ambitious, organised and commercially aware
