WE’RE HIRING! – Yard Operative (Timber)
Location: Keelby (Own transport required)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Looking for a hands-on role in a busy outdoor environment? The Best Connection is recruiting a Yard Operative to join a local, family‑run timber business in Keelby!
What We’re Looking For:
- No previous experience required – full training provided
- Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
- Good attention to detail and teamwork skills
- Experience in a yard or timber-based role (beneficial but not essential)
- Good understanding of Health & Safety (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with loading and unloading timber and building materials
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately
- Store materials correctly to maintain quality and safety
- Keep the yard clean, organised, and hazard‑free
- Carry out basic stock checks and report shortages
- Provide friendly, helpful service to customers and delivery drivers
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times
