Teaching Assistant – SEMH Support
All-Through School | Horsham Area
Full-Time, 8:30-3:30 | Term-Time Only
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £92.63 daily rate, paid weekly.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small group support for students with SEMH needs across primary and secondary phases.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to implement behaviour and learning strategies.
- Assist in the development and delivery of personalised learning plans.
- Support the emotional wellbeing of students, helping them to build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with SEMH students or in a similar SEN support role (preferred).
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine commitment to helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning.
- Relevant qualifications or training in child development, SEN, or education support (desirable but not essential).
