Chefs – Flexible Shifts

Location: Nottingham

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm (varies by client)

Pay: £16.00 – £20.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We are looking for passionate chefs with an up‑to‑date Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) to join our team in Nottingham. This temporary role is ideal for chefs seeking extra hours, consistent temporary assignments, or a potential route into permanent positions.

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a variety of fresh dishes to a high standard
• Running your own section confidently and independently
• Storing, sorting and rotating ingredients correctly
• Unpacking deliveries and keeping the kitchen organised
• Maintaining excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Communicating clearly with kitchen and front‑of‑house teams
• Supporting the kitchen wherever needed with a can‑do attitude

What we’re looking for

• Previous chef experience in a similar environment
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (valid within the last three years)
• DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Chef whites and knives in good condition
• Ability to travel to and from Nottingham between 8am and 10pm
• Strong time‑management, initiative and communication skills
• Willingness to assist with general cleaning and team support
