Job Summary
We are looking for a confident Bank Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare. You will pick up 12 hour shifts to suit your lifestyle, supporting service users at Hawkstone House in Keighley.
Responsibilities
- Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all people in our care
- Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support
- Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way
- Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs
- Safeguard
- Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
- Support service users to access the community, attend work, college, hobbies and activities, days out and holidays
- Support service users to grow, develop and learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking and cleaning
Qualifications
- Genuinely driven with a desire to make a real difference in people’s lives
- Excellent communication and a good team player
- Sensitive and intuitive with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating and varied environment
- Able to empower and support service user independence
