Job Overview
This role supports data centers in various operational stages, sometimes at facilities still under development, requiring travel to established locations for training until the designated site becomes fully operational.
Travel Requirements
- Travel within and outside of the regional work area is required.
- Travel up to 50 miles is allowed; travel over 50 miles may be required by business needs.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Move and install large enterprise equipment.
- Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cables between equipment.
- Maintain safety and security standards during installation.
- Follow hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities.
- Use material handling tools and equipment safely.
- Travel as required by the operational needs of assigned facilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience with networking fundamentals.
- Knowledge of networking protocols including HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Industry‑standard certification such as CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of network cabling, optical types, and test equipment.
- At least 1 year of experience in Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, or Data Center Operations.
