Location: CO5 Postcode area (Face-to-Face Tuition)

Pay Rate: £28.00 – £33.00 per hour (P.A.Y.E only)

Hours: 15 hours per week (Fixed)

The Role: Critical, Tailored Learning

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified tutor to deliver intensive, high-quality 1:1 tuition for a Year 8 male pupil in the CO5 area. This role is essential for maintaining the young person’s educational momentum and engagement in core subjects while we are seeking a suitable school placement.

This is more than just teaching; it is about providing consistent, tailored support in English and Maths to a student managing a period of educational transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Excellence: Deliver 1:1 face-to-face sessions in English and Maths in line with the current Key Stage 3 UK National Curriculum.
• Personalised Planning: Develop and implement bespoke lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles and needs of a pupil awaiting a permanent school placement.
• Inclusive Education: Adapt your approach for students requiring educational support during a period out of school.
• Holistic Support: Foster a positive learning environment that builds the student’s confidence and self-esteem.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain consistent contact with families and relevant agencies to report on progress.

What We’re Looking For

• Mandatory: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Proven Experience: A track record of delivering effective 1:1 tuition in English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level.
• Curriculum Knowledge: A strong, up-to-date understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
• Relationship Builders: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners during a period of educational change.
• Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one immediately).
