Our client, a large manufacturing business based near Huddersfield, has an immediate requirement to recruit a well‑versed Maintenance Electrician.

Key Responsibilities

Part of a multi‑skilled team, you will be involved in all aspects of electrical work in a high‑quality, fast‑paced manufacturing site working on existing plant and the development of new plant and machinery.

• Installation and wiring
• Facilities maintenance
• Plant and machinery
• Panels and control systems
• Breakdowns and repairs

Formal Qualifications

• A City and Guilds or similar qualification in Electrical Maintenance (Apprenticeship)
• City & Guilds 18th Edition
• GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English

Personal Skills

• Understanding of H&S procedures
• Team player
• Positive attitude
• Creative and able to work under own initiative and also as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure

Work / Relevant Experience

• Experience in a similar role
• Experience working with machine and plant maintenance and breakdowns
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Computer literate
• Holds a good understanding of general engineering principles
• Installation and Wiring Experience
• Panels & control Systems Experience
• Familiar with PLC controls and programming
• Knowledge of PID temperature controls

This is a permanent position where you will be expected to work the following hours:

Week 1 – 6am to 2pm Monday to Thursday and 6am to 11:30am Friday

Week 2 – 2pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday and 11:30am – 5pm on a Friday

In return you can expect a salary of £38,610 – £44,101.
