Landscape Operative

Our public sector client are looking for a Landscape Operative to join them on a temporary basis.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 37 hours per week

Requirements

• Experience in landscaping, construction sites, or plant operation required
• Full driving licence preferred (not essential)
• Any relevant construction experience considered

Role Purpose

To carry out landscaping, grounds maintenance, and construction work to a high standard, supporting the development and upkeep of parks, green spaces, and outdoor facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks to required standards and timescales
• Undertake hard and soft landscaping projects in line with drawings and specifications
• Construct, develop, and maintain outdoor sports areas (natural and artificial surfaces)
• Assist with planting and maintenance of trees and shrubs across highways and open spaces
• Support the safe application of chemicals in line with regulations
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and relevant legislation
• Deliver good customer service and promote positive use of parks and green spaces
• Work within agreed timeframes and budgets
