Lead Service Architect (Markets)

We are seeking a Lead Service Architect (Markets) to provide clear architectural leadership across our Markets and Commercial teams. You’ll help us simplify complexity, strengthen oversight and build technology that supports a well‑governed, high‑performing global marketplace. This role offers the chance to shape how strategy and technology come together and make a real impact at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Align markets strategy with technology decisions that are practical, robust and future‑ready
  • Simplify complex application landscapes, reducing duplication, cost, and risk
  • Set clear architectural direction that supports strong market and commercial performance
  • Build trusted relationships across business and technology teams
  • Provide clear, achievable roadmaps that balance cost, control and innovation
  • Govern change with discipline, managing architectural risk and enabling predictable delivery
  • Ensure solutions are compliant, scalable and fit for purpose in a regulated environment

Qualifications

  • Experience leading service or enterprise architecture in complex environments
  • Experience of the Lloyd’s market or insurance sector is a strong advantage
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders across business and technology
  • Build trusted relationships across our Markets and Commercial teams
  • Collaborate with the wider architecture community to stay consistent and joined‑up
  • Stay curious about modern tools, data, AI and industry best practice
  • A clear, pragmatic approach to governance and risk
  • The ability to cut through complexity and focus on what matters
  • Curiosity, openness and the courage to challenge when needed
