Transport Planner

Overview

Role: Experienced Transport Planner in a fast‑paced office setting. The role is temporary on an ongoing contract, based in Lutterworth.

Hours: 4:00 am – 12:00 pm, 5 days a week.

Pay: £17.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Depot to store transport load building, routing and scheduling.
• Provide daily, weekly, monthly and annual statistical information to aid planning and implementation.
• Review and continuously improve plans to enhance efficiency.
• Provide accurate and effective information to stores and sites regarding the plan, including feedback channels to aid engagement.
• Co‑coach and influence depot teams to maximize service and efficiency, ensuring delivery of all commercial targets on the depot balance scorecard.

Qualifications & Experience

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiar with transport management systems.
• Previous experience working in a transport environment.
• Working knowledge of transport/driver hours and regulations.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work in pressured situations.
• Availability to work 4 am start hours.
