We are currently recruiting an experienced Locum Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support a busy and friendly GP surgery. This opportunity offers flexible part‑time or full‑time hours, ideal for HCAs looking for consistency or additional shifts.

Role Details

• Location: Taunton / Bridgwater
• Hours: Part-time or Full-time available
• Contract: Locum / Ongoing
• System: EMIS Web
• Rate: Competitive (DOE)

Key Responsibilities

• • Phlebotomy
• • NHS Health Checks
• • Blood pressure monitoring
• • ECG recording
• • New patient health checks
• • Wound care and dressings
• • Urinalysis and basic observations
• • Supporting GP and nursing team with primary care duties
• • Accurate documentation using EMIS

Requirements

• ✔ Previous experience working as an HCA in a GP surgery or primary care setting
• ✔ Confident using EMIS Web
• ✔ Phlebotomy competent
• ✔ Excellent patient care and communication skills
• ✔ Up-to-date compliance (DBS, mandatory training, immunisations)
