Position Summary

Business Support Officer (Temporary, Part time – 29.6 hours per week)

Salary: £25,989 per annumLocation: Burnley, LancashireContract: Temporary, Part‑time, Four‑day position (Tuesday to Friday)

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the Child Protection Administration Team, assisting operational staff and managers with all administration tasks related to child protection. Duties include:

  • Managing correspondence and information for managers, social workers, families and the public.
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation and databases.
  • Supporting team members during both home and office working days.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in an administration setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and database systems.
  • Strong communication skills, able to convey information clearly and listen to individual requirements.

The post is based at The Exchange, Barden Lane, Burnley BB10 1JD. Working days: Monday and Friday at the office, with a combination of home and office working. A suitable home‑working space with broadband is required.
