Overview

Position: Head of Health and Safety

Salary: £86,480

Location: 4040 Lakeside, Birmingham (flexible with some working from home)

Health and Safety professional required to lead and develop a proactive safety culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and management of Health and Safety, keeping our people safe.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop a strong organisational safety culture across Citizen.
  • Create and analyse performance data, identify themes and trends, and proactively improve H&S across Citizen.
  • Commission and carry out audits, inspections and incident investigations to identify root causes, establish corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement a clear strategy and action plan to ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and strive for best practice.

Qualifications and experience

  • NEBOSH Level 6 / IOSH recognised qualification at degree or post-graduate level
  • Detailed knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice
  • Significant H&S leadership experience
  • Chartered Member of IOSH or equivalent
  • Experience in establishing a H&S management system within housing or a similar environment (desirable)
