Authorising Engineer – Mechanical

Overview

My client now has a new opportunity for an Engineering Manager (Mechanical / Pressure Systems AP) to join their team. This is a large commercial environment and the ideal candidate will have a recognised course and substantial background and experience in “Pressure Systems” acting as an Authorised Person as a minimum. Mechanically Biased with knowledge of Pressure Systems Regulations/Chilled Water/Fire Systems Maintenance etc.

Responsibilities

• Acting as an Authorised Person for Pressure Systems (minimum requirement).
• Maintain knowledge of Pressure Systems Regulations, Chilled Water, Fire Systems Maintenance, etc.
• Health and safety duties including risk assessments and method statements.
• Mechanical isolation of MTHW and Steam systems.

Ideal Skills / Qualifications

• Good communication skills – verbal
• Insurance inspection requirements for pressure systems
• Pressure systems, Calorifiers, Pressurisation units, Expansion vessels, Domestic heating systems, Ventilation, Air Handling Units, Heating, Cooling, BMS, Humidifiers
• Fan Coil Units, Extract Fans, Plumbing (Domestic and Commercial), Hot and cold water services, Water regulations, Compressed air systems, Water Softeners, Cooling Towers – L8 Requirements, Refrigeration
