General Operative and Van Driver – Mansfield

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7am – 4pm / Friday, 7am – 12pm

Contract: Temp to perm

We are currently recruiting for a General Operative / Van Driver to join a well‑established steel company based in Mansfield. This is a varied role that combines hands‑on production duties with occasional driving work.

Key Duties:

• General operative tasks — supporting day‑to‑day operations within a steel manufacturing environment.
• Manual handling — assisting with loading, unloading and moving materials safely.
• Site housekeeping — maintaining a clean and safe working area.
• Occasional van driving — driving a flat‑bed van when required to support deliveries or collections.
• Supporting production teams — assisting colleagues with general labouring and operational tasks.

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Clean licence (0 points)
• Good reliability and work ethic
• Comfortable with physical work
• Experience in a similar environment is beneficial but not essential.
