Role Summary
Training Delivery Instructor – Mechanical Engineering. Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week on a term‑time basis, located at HMS Sultan, Portsmouth. Eligible for UK SC level security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Marine Engineering training on ship auxiliary systems in line with the Sultan Training Plan.
- Build strong relationships with customers and colleagues in the Marine Engineering Electrical training area.
- Maintain and update training materials, assess coursework, and provide constructive feedback to learners.
- Apply best practice to drive quality improvements across Royal Navy training programmes.
- Ensure learner safety, progression, and achievement of KPIs and SLAs during all training phases, including simulated environments.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to personalise learning journeys and maintain your CPD portfolio.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
- Competent mechanical hand skills.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in Electrical Engineering.

Employment Details
Term‑time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non‑working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. Salary prorata and includes contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
