About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a brand‑new Asset Manager role and shape how we manage, invest in, and future‑proof our housing portfolio. You’ll deliver on our approach to long‑term asset planning, sustainability, and major works – ensuring our homes remain safe, high‑quality, and ready for the future. Working with colleagues across Housing, Compliance, Finance and Property Services, you’ll play a key part in creating positive change for our customers and our organisation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, develop and inspire a small team focused on asset management and property services.
- Deliver a forward‑looking Asset Management Plan to guide investment and improvement.
- Plan and deliver our programmed and cyclical works – from major repairs and upgrades to decarbonisation and sustainability projects.
- Manage budgets and ensure works are high‑quality, compliant and value for money.
- Oversee contractor frameworks, performance, health & safety and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen our asset data, stock condition intelligence and long‑term planning.
- Keep customers and colleagues engaged and informed throughout programmes of work.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in social housing asset management, planned investment, and major works delivery.
- Excellent understanding of property legislation, compliance, tenancy and leasehold matters, and H&S.
- Confident people manager with experience of leading staff and contractors.
- Skilled at balancing priorities, analysing data, planning workloads and making decisions.
- Strong communicator with excellent numeracy, IT skills and an eye for improvement.

- Experience supporting vulnerable customers is essential; relevant professional qualifications are a bonus.
