A ‘Good’ graded comprehensive school and sixth form in Southwark is seeking a Girls PE Teacher / Girls PE ECT for a September 2026 start. This is a permanent, full‑time contract paid on the Inner London Scale + TLR.

The Head of PE is looking for an ambitious PE teacher with multi‑sport ability and a hard‑working attitude. The school has just under 1000 students and boasts impressive facilities, career progression, CPD and excellent student behaviour. Responsibilities

• Inspire and motivate the younger generation
• Work alongside a team of PE teachers and co‑lead the department
• Start September 2026 – full time & permanent
• Salary: MPS1 – UPS3 Inner London – £39,766 – £60,092
• Location: Borough of Southwark

Person Specification

• UK QTS or in the process of gaining
• Strong academics – degree, A levels and GCSEs
• Meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ level
• Strong PE teaching skills with the ability to lead from the front with best practice
• Willingness to listen to feedback
