Your apprenticeship teaches you how to manage John Deere’ssophisticated parts systems, run a profitable retail environment, merchandisegoods effectively, and understand the value of John Deere products and theimportance of selling on quality rather than on price.
In contrast to the Ag Tech and Turf Tech apprenticeships, the John Deere PartsTech apprenticeship programme is delivered mainly in the workplace, i.e. at theJohn Deere dealership where you are employed.
Workplace training is supplemented with one week a year at the John DeereApprentice Training Centre, Nottinghamshire.
Duties include
- Promotingand selling parts and/or services to meet customer needs both face to faceand over the phone.
- SupplyingService Technicians with parts as required.
- Identifyingparts through a variety of catalogue systems to provide quotations for arange of agricultural equipment.
- Assistingwith preparing and maintaining merchandise display within the showroom.
- Receiptof incoming shipments
- Followingup on shortages and accelerates issues by reporting to the Depot PartsManager.
- Executingsales parts marketing plans and shares ideas for future campaigns.
- Executestelemarketing sales operations.
- Maintainscontrol of inventory management, invoicing and other administrative tasks.
- Assistsin keeping parts inventory clean, orderly and well organised.

- Hydraulichose identification and manufacture
