Job Overview
Aspire People Limited invites a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Lewisham. The role involves working with students with a range of special educational needs to help them access learning, build confidence, and achieve academic and social progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to students with special educational needs.
- Develop and implement individual learning plans aligned with EHCP targets.
- Support students with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties.
- Collaborate closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, and external professionals to support student development.
- Monitor, assess, and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies where required.
- Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes engagement and independence.
Requirements
- QTS or relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated learning.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
