About the Role
The Transport Manager will lead the transport team and support the Head of Fleet and Equipment in delivering the transport strategy and service plan. Key responsibilities include overseeing fleet operations, managing contracts and service agreements, ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation and environmental regulations, and maintaining accurate audit and administration procedures. The role requires strong communication, leadership and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Good standard of general education including Maths and English at Grades C or above, or equivalent
- Experience of transport fleet management systems, insurance claims and statistical analysis (essential)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Experience with service contracts that include administration, performance reports and quality monitoring
- Full City & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Engineering or equivalent
- Current LGV (C) licence
- Evidence of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) membership or commitment to obtain it
- Electric Hybrid Vehicle Level 3 Course or equivalent
- Good IT literacy and ability to analyse vehicle data
