Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care, moving & handling, and positive behavioural support.
• Expand their social networks and connections.
• Support individuals on transport and community outings, helping them feel comfortable, included, and ready to enjoy their day.
• Work to achieve the goals and outcomes set out in each person’s personal support plan.

Qualifications

• Ability to adapt your communication style to develop successful and enjoyable relationships with the people we support.
• Commitment to work with individuals through their personal support plans to ensure people achieve their goals and celebrate their successes.
• A positive and flexible outlook to your work, able to work on your own and as part of a team.
• No experience in care required; we recruit people based on their values and transferable skills.

About Riddrievale House

Riddrievale House provides short break respite for up to nine adults with learning disabilities in a comfortable, relaxing environment. When people come to stay with us, they are on holiday, and we try to make it as fun as possible.
