Job Overview
A Housing Management worker responsible for managing a portfolio of properties and tenancies within a designated area, providing an intensive Housing Management Service to a core group of people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide intensive housing management support.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop accommodation plans.
- Determine eligibility for the service and take necessary actions.
- Handle property management and maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with the Asset Management team to maintain property standards, report repairs promptly, and ensure suitability for letting and safe occupation.
- Maximise rent collection and adhere to the arrears management policy and procedure.
Professional and Technical Experience
- Maintain the highest professional standards and service levels, treating all service users with dignity and respect.
- Work in partnership with the Housing Management team to meet voids and arrears targets, comply with Tenure Law, and adhere to Housing policies and procedures.
- Foster positive relationships with the local community, neighbours, and landlords.
- Collaborate with key internal partners in Quality, Policy, HR, Finance, and IT to deliver the best possible service.
- Be prepared to work flexibly across more than one area if required.
Requirements
- Comply with all organisational and compliance elements of the job description.
- Perform duties that may vary within the broad remit of the role and grade, and undertake any reasonable and appropriate duties.
- Have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Undergo a DBS check (required).
- Be able to travel regularly.
