Security Fire Officer

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off, 12‑hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Compliance with security assignment instructions and SLA’s agreed in the contract to meet the requirements of the client and company
• Carry out security services patrols
• Carry out routine Fire patrols/checks
• Ensure that all Fire procedures are implemented and monitored at all times
• Booking/checking, weighing vehicles on & off site
• Recording of printed products leaving site
• Assist in compliance of all customer policies and procedures are adhered to
• Report immediately any misuse, damage or threat to the customers or OCS property & equipment
• Report any breach or unsafe practices in the workplace to Line Manager per the Company Health and Safety policy and procedures, with support from the Health and Safety Manager
• Carry out control room duties as required
• Provide for fire checks, patrols and isolation fire panel when required
• Provide along with other security personnel mail/courier sort/collection/delivery service
• Adhere to company and site H&S policies
• Accurately and legibly complete all relevant documentation associated with tasks; meet all reasonable requests to meet business needs

• Flexibility – Ability to move between areas (training permitting) to meet the needs of the business
• Excellent team working skills
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Punctuality, reliability with excellent time‑management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Good organisational skills and ability to balance workload in areas of priority
• Self‑motivated and able to work unsupervised
• Ability to work safely
• Problem solving skills and confident decision making
• First Aid trained and hold a Valid First Aid Certificate
