Cook – Tynedale House
Location: Tynedale House, Blyth. Permanent, part‑time 24.5 hours per week. Working 7‑hour shifts from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (1‑hour lunch break) on a 2‑week rota.
Employment type: Permanent. Salary: £13.26 per hour, equivalent to £25 583 – £25 989 FTE or £16 940 – £17 208 pro‑rata.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary requirements and quality standards for residents with learning disabilities.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment in line with health and safety regulations.
- Use catering tools and equipment safely and correctly.
- Prepare meals for specialised diets as required.
Requirements
- Basic food hygiene certificate.
- Knowledge of health and safety and training in manual handling.
- Relevant experience in a kitchen environment, including food preparation and cooking.
- Willingness to learn and handle specialised diet preparation.
