Customer Delivery Driver – Fulbourn Cherryhinton

Availability Window

Working time requirements:

• Sun: 18:00 – 21:00
• Thu: 09:00 – 19:00
• Fri: 09:00 – 19:00
• Sat: 18:00 – 22:00

Pay – starts at £14.18 per hour, rising to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; positions with as few as 12 hours are also available.

As a Customer Delivery Driver you will:

• Ensure vans and trays are clean and tidy.
• Keep the back yard clean, tidy and free of litter.
• Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
• Load the van, check roadworthiness, and maintain safety.
• Communicate order changes and provide refunds when necessary.
• Handle goods with care and treat each delivery as your own.
• Explain to customers that substitution charges are free.
• Deliver within the customer’s time slot.
• Call customers before arrival if arriving early.
• Call the store if you are 30 minutes or more late.

Build strong relationships with colleagues, be welcoming and courteous, respond quickly to changing needs, and share ideas for improvement.

Requirements:

• Valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence – Full or Automatic – held for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Experience in delivery or customer service is preferred.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, customer‑focused attitude.
• Physical capability to lift and handle goods safely.
• Flexibility to work within the advertised availability windows.
