Operations Manager

This hands-on Operations Manager role is responsible for the day-to-day management of operational activities across production, warehousing, retail, and logistics. The position drives operational performance through effective leadership, supervisor development, KPI management, continuous improvement initiatives, and a strong focus on efficiency and productivity.

• Oversee daily operations across production, warehousing, retail and logistics.
• Lead, coach and develop supervisors.
• Set, monitor and review KPIs across all operational areas.
• Maintain KPI tracking systems and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement through data and performance management.
• Document and standardise operational processes.
• Identify gaps in staffing, skills, processes or resources and implement solutions.
• Maintain compliance with all driver qualifications, permits and legal requirements.
• Manage vehicle servicing and roadworthiness.
• Oversee route planning and on-time delivery performance.

Essential Requirements

• Experience in managing multiple operational departments across warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, transport or retail
• Proven leadership of supervisors
• Confident setting and monitoring KPIs, interpreting performance data, and driving improvement
• Strong health & safety knowledge.
• Commercial awareness – how operational decisions affect cost and efficiency
