Job Description:

Oakley House is a residential service that supports up to 8 people with Autism, learning disabilities and mental health. We support people to gain confidence and do the things that are important to them and ultimately to lead happy and fulfilled lives. We put a strong emphasis on community integration and supporting people to progress onto supported living. Oakley House has 8 en-suite bedrooms, and 1 external studio flat. There is a communal lounge, kitchen and dining area. The service has a therapeutic garden set up, designed to meet the physical, psychological and social needs of the people we support. Oakley House is walking distance of St Neots town, which has various amenities such as a bowling alley, museum, library, local parks and shops. It is also very close to transport links to Cambridge and Oxford.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
