Overview
We are working with a number of specialist schools across Andover seeking SEN Teaching Assistants for flexible and long‑term placements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Working one‑to‑one and with small groups of pupils.
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Helping students engage with learning and classroom activities.
- Building trust and positive relationships with young people.
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
Required Skills & Experience
No prior SEN Teaching Assistant experience required. We look for individuals who can build positive relationships, remain patient in challenging situations, and provide consistent support to students who need it most. A background in coaching, care, youth work, support work, or recent graduation can transfer well into this role.
Benefits & Training
We provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to help you get started with confidence. Weekly PAYE pay ranges from £90–£100 per day. Free CPD and specialist training are available in behaviour management, SEN and SEMH support, and safeguarding. Additional benefits include school visits and shadowing before you start, ongoing support from a dedicated consultant, and a people‑first approach focused on your success.
