Job Description:

We are looking for a Sales Assistant – Host to join our local store. The role requires 20 hours per week and offers a pay rate of £12.71 per hour for candidates aged 18+.

Every visit to our store is a chance to make someone’s day – from the first hello to the final thank you, you will help create a memorable experience.

As a host, you’ll be the first smile our customers see, approaching shoppers, understanding their needs and helping them bring their vision to life. You’ll confidently recommend products, spot upselling opportunities, and create moments of joy that keep customers coming back.

You’ll also be tech‑savvy, using our systems to check stock, organise home delivery, recommend online exclusives, and handle any queries with ease.

What you’ll be doing

  • You will be customer‑obsessed, always considering the impact of your actions on the customer experience.
  • You will consistently deliver exceptional customer service to support strong CSAT scores.
  • You will be the first point of call for customers, providing assistance across all departments on the shop floor.
  • You will help customers find the right products, offer advice where required, and ensure they leave with everything they came in looking for.
  • You will process orders for Click & Collect and Home Delivery, offering thousands more products to our customers than what’s in store.
  • You will ensure the store is well presented and tidy throughout the day.

Training areas

  • Tills – Offer a friendly and efficient checkout experience, carefully packing fragile items.
  • Shop Floor – Help shoppers find exactly what they’re looking for, offering friendly, knowledgeable support.
  • Stock & Delivery – Take in deliveries, check stock, replenish the shop floor, update pricing, and recover the store after busy periods. This role is customer‑facing.
