Job Introduction
Bank Youth Support Worker covering Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
As a Youth Support Worker you will provide emotional and practical support, help young people transition to independent living, develop support plans, assist with education, training and employment access, manage properties and liaise with other professionals, and support them to develop independent living skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional and practical support, including out‑of‑hours on‑call duties.
- Develop and review support plans, ensuring safeguarding and risk management.
- Help young people access education, training and employment opportunities.
- Manage properties and liaise with other professionals.
- Support young people in developing independent living skills to prepare them for fully independent living.
Qualifications
- Experience working with vulnerable young people, ideally care leavers.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and assessment skills.
- Resilient and empathetic when working with young people.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Flexible to work shifts including evenings, weekends and sleep‑ins.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
